Vanity.
Think you are
so hot.
Burst with
flames in
to sky.
Fly.
So high.
T

p
the moon.
Spill the
beads and the
shine
-ing paint
and
the glittering
gold of
hazy
afternoons. Ignite
the cigarette
tree, billowing
smoke climbs h i g h
atop the mountain
peaks; out from
beneath warm
comforters. Watching the
flitting tooth-
fairy, smuggling out
the lost
innocence that accompanies
the loss
of ones (last)
baby
tooth, in hard
apples and on
r c e y
i k t
strings
attached
to [slamming]
doors in teenage
anger. Steaming before
full
-length mirrors
where your
image is
ingrained.
Hope.
Dream.
Wish.
Pray.
Heat.
Beauty.
Grandeur.
Glamour.
Pain.
Vanity.
