Raindrops

Contributed by Savannah on Wednesday, 1st January 2003 @ 10:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

Raindrops sparkle in the night
Mostly clouding up my sight
It's not death or pain or wicked lies
That pushed these raindrops from my eyes

I swore that I wouldn't care
About seeing him with her standing there
But that was a promise I failed to keep
And across my cheeks the tears now sweep

Then you came, not caring when or why
Just hating standing, watching me cry
You dropped everything, content to stand
Hugging me close, holding my hand

My mascara ran onto your cheek
An out of place black ugly streak
But you didn't care, you didn't move
My only support you refused to remove

You wiped every one of my 100 tears
Taking with it my hurt and all of my fears
Even without him I would not be alone
If I needed love you would lend your own

So you're the reason that I'm doing ok
You're the reason I am standing today
And last night to proved what I always knew
There's no way to tell how much I love you

Raindrops return to their home in the sky
Never tonite to bother my eye
And as raindrops watch me from way up high
I think of a boy and whisper goodbye

I can really relate to how you feel, it's nice knowing that when your not feeling so good theres someone that will be there for you, oh yeah and this is a great poem.
