A Child’s Life
~~~~
Ten miles a minute
He runs around the place
Laughing and yelling
With a smile on his face
Playing intensely
With his invisible friend
Living in a dream world
With no end
His world is made up of
Crayons and toys
Nothing gets in the way of
What he enjoys
He wears himself out
About 2pm
He sleeps peacefully
Until he’s ready to go again
He eats just what he likes
Off his plate
Turn on cartoons mom
Please don’t be late
He’s a handful
And then maybe some
But in our eyes
He’s our beautiful son
