Softly dropping down
Into Scott’s glacier.
So white it blinds,
So nothing your eyes bleed
An empty white.
I’m beautiful wet within,
I’m shackleton’s whore
Waiting in vastness.
Lightly dripping deeper,
A thousand piercing crystals
Prick my blistered pupils
And I die a happy
Man.
Fondness of flowers
No longer clouds my head.
I love the cold land,
The snow land,
And my heart is lead
And ice.

Very nice poem. Full of imagery and deep meaning to it all. I like the description " blistered pupils".. very graphic and strong. keep up the good work. dw |
