Unwanted feeling

Contributed by Chris_Mahoney on Friday, 27th May 2005 @ 07:15:31 AM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Spitting fire, with lava blood running through his stone veins,
Footsteps making earthquakes, He’s been released from his chains.
Tattooed with the shadows of hells demons from the neck down,
He’s back with his head held high, but unwelcome in this town.

He’s here to take vengeance and overcome his weak mind,
But unaware that he has been prepared for some time for His kind.
Firing thoughts of evil doings into the corners of his heart,
Temptation, Lust, desire, treachery – trying to tear his beliefs apart.

Lust has intruded, but has no place in the centre of his loving soul,
A fight begins, struggling to remember his love, battling to stay whole.
He cannot let his love slip and let this desire to overcome his thought,
Slowly weakening his mind, body and soul…he has fought and fought.

Now comes a day when he feels as if he has won this horrific war,
It has become clear in his mind that his salvation was worth fighting for.
Now he clears his head from those intruding unwanted thoughts of desire,
For he and his heart now know, they burn for Love, and just one fire.

Well dude, we all fall once or twice in our lives, and if you've never - which I know you have once - with your ex "even though she cheated on you like 4 times" and you still didnt cheat or dump her (until you went to Japan for two weeks and kissed that hot chick) - dont blame you - I'd've done more

But you are in a great relationship now, so don't be gettin any ideas, well exprerssed poem btw, I like the way you picturized lust as a man and with a very new discription :)

I really like it, I can feel the torment, just stick in there !

I'll give it 4 stars, sorry - not five this time, but really good

That a good write, it was absolutely full of imagery and struggle. I thought the opening was explosive with descriptive visuals. Keep up the fine writing!
