Your Morning Glow

Contributed by wizard on Thursday, 26th May 2005 @ 09:57:55 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The shimmer of your evening glow,
Summons every glare,
Supple skin - enchanting eyes,
Evoking every stare

Scorching lips, so benign,
Brimming with lust, beckoning mine

At last they connect, our hearts conjoined,
Your loving soul fills my empty void,

We drift into slumber,
Your body cradled in mine,
If dawn never comes,
We'll remain here...sublime

I rise with the sun,
You...absorbing its ray
Behold your morning glow,
Shining brighter than day

Hello again! I remembered that I had read your poem called One by One, is that right? I'm sorry if it's not...Anywayz, I think this poem is an enourmous leap from the other one of yours that I read. This poem is very beautiful and full of detail. I love the use of the word 'sublime' It really describes the beauty of the moment you're portraying. Great work!

Second last stanza is, by FAR my favourite.

*sigh*

What a glorious and wonderful enchantment that is . . . beautifully
heart-stirring. The emotions you have evoked here leave me quite
breathless. But that line, that one line . . . "Your body cradled in mine"
Gosh . . . I could never articulate clearly, just what that does to me.
Stunning. Every word.

breathless still
