He Killed My Heart

Contributed by Kitty06 on Wednesday, 25th May 2005 @ 08:35:25 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

So much hurt,
So much pain,
I lay here and dream it all away.
I long for a warm embrace,
Strong and filled with love.
The chill of loneliness clings to me,
My heart is empty and cracked,
Why must you torment me like this?
Feeding me false hope,
Slicing open my lost soul with your stained lips.
I sit all alone,
Surrounded by pairs.
Where’s my love?
Don’t I deserve another?
No answer,
No one cares.
I lay and wait in an ocean of tears,
Soon to drown in my loneliness and fears.
You bruise my snowy skin with your dirty hands,
All I am to you is one grain in a bowl of sand.
Why do you leave me all alone like this?
Why must you hurt me like this?
Does my pain entice you?
If so, I don’t want you here…
I can feel the darkness closing in,
Ready to devour my broken soul.
Someone save me from this fate,
Someone disperse all the hate.
I watch you raise your sword,
Eyes hungry and cold.
You slice my cheeks and watch it run down my face and neck,
Sweeping away every kiss you had embedded there,
Back when you loved me…
I cry, knowing what’s next,
Is there no one there?
Is there no one that cares?
I feel the metal open my stomach,
Blood spills out like a tidal wave.
There is no air,
Only blood,
I cannot breathe.
Someone help me,
Before it’s too late…
How can this happen to me?
How can you not see?
My pain is nothing to you,
My death even less.
I lay here all alone,
Trapped in your deadly caress.

Very good write. It has so much emotion.
The way you wrote it was very good. It was a very good flow. Lost love is hard to deal with. Porlly worse than anything i can think of.
Just be strong(its hard) And you will find some one who loves you how you will love them.
very good write.

keep writing
keep smiling

The two lines about slicing away kisses that were given are very powerful. There are always those who seemed destined to take back what they have already given and it always does sting like razors. That, I think is the most powerful part of this really good emotional poem. J.

I loved the line:
' All I am to you is one grain in a bowl of sand.'

I don't know, for me it explained so much. It's funny, the greatest point in a poem is always a simple little line.
