They speak of her behind closed doors
As if she could not hear;
Analyzed and diagnosed
Despite compromising tears.
Nails, does she, these to peg
For all the world to see
Though as they pass, their eyes will void
All. Neglected me.
Once you have begun to cry
Assumed you are unstable
The reins which drove your dignity
Sequestered and disabled
Destiny that pride will drown
Struggle only worsens,
Control is snatched from underfoot
And tide has swiftly risen
Why inflict brutality
Made noxious by herself
Like shredding up, if just to spite,
An already tattered scarf.
