The Darken Corner

Contributed by ruthie1983 on Wednesday, 25th May 2005 @ 01:23:18 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

In the darken corner my thoughts appear,
I feel all alone with no one there,
I hide from things happening around me,
I done this a lot, it appears like everyday life,
In the darken corner, prayer is the only key,
I hold on to it wishing JAH you could help me, but NO,
I am tempted over and over everyday,
Your word says to help who help themselves,
No! That’s not my doing in the darken corner,

I try to resist the temptation around me,
Wishing I was a little child again,
My wrong thoughts come to mind,
JAH I cry begging for your comfort,
I know your word is what holds me,
But still the temptation is very strong,
Everyday having to deal with the corruption,
It is very difficult struggling until the end,
I want to please you, yes I do JAH,

But in the darken corner I realize I am wrong,
I know you cannot change the past,
I know I hide a lot in the darken corner,
I know you see that all day long,
You also see it all night long,
I only suffer thinking about my doings,
The only thing I can do is hide in the dark corner,
Wishing you will hear and save my thoughts.
