Serendipity

Contributed by Man_On_High on Tuesday, 24th May 2005 @ 09:57:11 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

This poem lay still within my pen
where recently I found it...
resting in it's inky den
with a rhyming wrapped around it.

All these years it waited so
to spill out in the minute;
I thought I loved the pen but no!
It was the poetry within it!

Today my Daughter sang to me,
her song in sweetest fashion...
She sang it in a melody
of radiance and passion.

So as to see a blossom grow
and not the sun above it..
I thought I loved the song but no!
It was Katie singing of it!

What a lovely expression of what matters most. Lovely write! I don't know your Katie - but I can only imagine that she'll love this... every daughter wishes their dad would express such wonderful thoughts.

Write on -

Ah dearest Billy, you never cease to amaze nor to surprise!
The title is what had me intrigued, seeing that seredipity is
one of my most favourite words!! But when I read it, I was so
touched. What an enchanting and beautifully written poem indeed!
Your sweetness shines through your talent for everyone
to see. Who could not love it!?

*hugs*
~Breezy
