First... After Everything Else

She tells me I come first.
Those are the WORDS she says
I find it a little hard to believe
Judging by what her ACTIONS say
She tells me I come first.
Before everything else,
But I often get the feeling
That I'm put upon her back shelf.
She says that I come first.
She doesn't listen to me
Though I say what I feel's best
Her father and aunt walk all over her.
She says that I come first.
But she leaves out the end of that.
I come first to her.
After her friends, soccer, and everyone else's advice.
And she says that I come first.
