discussion of the pain within.
the cold metal- blade against my skin
piercing deep in my memory
leaving footprints with every tear
carving into my heart of glass
with every gasping breath i take,
im losing touch with my senses
i cant feel what was once there
an empty space on a shelf
a gap of importance
trying to fufill what was never really there
turning inside out
and twisting out of shape
burning down each poem into my skin
nothing is missing
the empty space is no one
or nothing
it's simply me
