So here I stand at this crossing-ground,
Looking back I see all through which I’ve standed.
The grief that I’ve fought, the joy that I’ve found,
And through everything else I’ve managed to stay strong-minded.
Now with this all behind but so much ahead,
I feel that I’m left with cause to be afraid.
The feeling’s every night when I go to bed,
That I’ll become lost or my heart, mislaid.
The Love of Jesus remains my light shining,
And the salt of my life is truly my friends.
Ah! But still I feel that sway unstopping,
Relentless, spiraling my heart it sends.
Oh such a pull, all my life it could never be escaped!
So much overcome and now destined for that,
To become a fool, my senses draped?
Oh if lost there’s but one place you’d find me at.
I’ll be lost in your eyes, beautiful and sweet,
I’m captured with every laugh, smile, and glance.
To hear your voice, to my very soul a treat,
I simply love you – and ask this day my heart once more entrance.
