Be It Not For Me

Be it not for me to cast a stone
For the trails of your life are not my own
Be it not for me to judge you fair
For I have not sat in the witness chair
Be it not for me to call you name
For it’s not for me to lay the blame
Be it not for me to wash the hands
And pretend to cleanse the sins of man
Be it not for me to judge your past
For I have no ball of crystal glass
Be it not for me to determine the fate you hold
For it would be wrong to be so bold
Be it not for me, for who am I?
I hold no mansion in the sky
I am not a Savior, a Judge, or King
I have no Angels in heaven who sing
I’m an equal, your earthly brother
Who was born of a different mother

I'm glad I decided to read new poetry today; and I'm very fortunate to run into this one. I enjoy a good philisophical write, and whatever truth is reached at the end. The repetition worked well for ths piece.
