i guess this is goodbye

i realy thought that we were meant to be
you made me believe you were the one for me
but i guess this time ive been proved very wrong
and thats why im left here writing this sad sad song

you came into my life
and showed me true love
you took away my strife
you were my beautiful dove
and i was your angel sent from up above
to save you from the knife
i channged your life

well i guess we realy were supposed to be
but only for the purpose that we served
this must be how it was meant to be all along
i guess happiness and love with me will never belong

now i realy do believe, you are the only one for me
but you dont want me anymore, this much i see
so i guess my doubts were justified, cause God's will has now been rectified
whithout you i will surely die, but ive served my purpose in this life
ive saved you, now its time for me to die
ill always love you, but i guess this is goodbye
