~ The Knowledge Life Brings ~

Contributed by evilfairy on Monday, 23rd May 2005 @ 02:09:16 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

After you left today,
You called here straight away
Your rushing makes me nervous

Only met you last night
Things just felt right
But I’m young – I’ve yet to learn

I’m beginning to know
The lies men can throw
In your face in an effort to blind you

They bind you, tie you to their hearts
To their minds,
To their bodies and souls

They don’t look to love
To feel faith or feel trust
And they don’t look to cherish

I’ve seen it all before
Feeling is shown the door
Fear and mistrust moves in to stay

I know all these things
I know what life brings
But I want to believe it won’t happen to me.

Denial,..lol...men are that way...don't kid yourself....Most of them are anyway, they want one thing, and could care less about the person they get it from...But, hey, Im a guy, and I will say most men are pigs...sadly, good job on the poem btw.

Men are beautiful beings who exist on a higher plane. ;)
