Few have been Gifted with the beautiful power of Art,
To express what one've seen with the eyes or have felt with the living heart
With a stroke of a brush on a canvas so white,
Of deepest black for eternal night
With flicks of turquoise for oceans so deep,
Of earthen brown for cliffs so steep,
Of beauty untold only seen by these few
Of emotions stirred that are completely new

Few have been Given the lovely power of Song,
To tell of a time so short or a journey so long
So beautiful a melody that the heart cries a river over time
With a melodic tune that hypnotizes the soul with its wonderful rhyme
Songs of love unexpressed, of hatred so deep
Of regrets of the past, of the nightmares in sleep
Of what only the heart and the tortured soul can hear
Of the bravest acts or maybe the most cowardly fear

Few have been Blessed with the ensnaring gift of Word
To write down what only the imagination has heard
To transport the reader into a world far away,
To lead them on a continuing hunt and "The End" is the prey
A story of birds, trees, and spirits come alive
A place in the past where the dancers can "jive"
A tale of mystery, murder, and much suspense
A legend where the hero must sacrifice to commence
A myth of love, of hate, and of much much more
By the time you're done your eyes'll be sore

These few will soon or have already discovered their gift
So share your dreams and feelings, if you get my drift.......

I see that you're here so have taken a peek to see if you have submitted any more...and here's this one and I managed to miss it somehow! It's great..so full of inspiration and I agree with all these sentiments that you've expressed so beautifully.
