Beautiful...

Beautiful.

Who is it that is able to write a verse
on beauty.

A queen perhaps, with ivory hair...
Locks flowing down her fair skin...
Eyes as dark as the night sky,
Where light bounces off like stars,
Dotting the abyss with tiny fires,
And bursting up within her an energy
that exhuberates life.

Or rare diamonds and rubies...
Gold so pure that it reflects the faces
of many enthused men,
Staring at the riches in mystified attraction,
as they are cut and shined,
made to sparkle like all of mankinds
hand made wonders...
So that certain women may be the envy of their kind.

Perhaps the painted dolls and puppets,
Whose faces are printed on fashion magazines.
Wearing lipstick and makeup...
Hiding their God given flaws, their wrinkles,
And turning back the clock on natural things...
Lips parted slightly,
Teeth as white as marble,
They win the hearts of million while they smile
Artificially.

Mankind, with all of its standards,
with its many charts,
and grades,
and all of the youth sized achievers,
trying to attain those high marks...
They might say that in order to write
a verse on what beauty is about,
You must have, yourself, achieved a certain beauty,
worthy of their pictures, their super models,
and movie stars,
worthy of their makeup,
and celebrity megastars...

But mankind often over looks,
the rarest and most wonderful
beauty there is...
And that is what is found within
mankind,
behind the faces,
beneath the skin...
In the depths where one can only
see it,
when a person decides to bring it out...

There are many beautiful things and people in
this world,
That the common person will never see,
Because the common person will never
truly understand that outward beauty...
is only skin deep.
