Underwater World

Contributed by XxNights_ChildxX on Sunday, 22nd May 2005 @ 04:16:03 PM in AEST
Topic: secrets

Escape into another world, where silence prevails and takes the reins,
Everything is calm and quiet, water droplets slipping down the drain,
I can only hear faint murmers, the silence shall remain unbroken,
In this peaceful world, where it seems faint whispers are spoken,
Warm water engulfs my body, as the tiny bubbles float on the surface,
To wash away all my worries, the plaguing imagery is just worthless,
Fading in and out of consciousness, as the water seeps into my skin,
The aroma's so beautiful smelling, it's time to let the healing begin,
When I open my eyes up, everything's a faint, orange glow of fire,
My candle is buring brightly, and it awakens a hidden desire,
My lips are slightly parted, and a drop of water finds it's way inside,
As if it were a teardrop, that some foreign angel had just cried,
And by taking the time to relax, this secret place has been unfurled,
Many secrets I have unlocked, down within this underwater world.

This is a beautiful poem! the imagery is amazing, and although it's a simple thing, you achieved what you had intended, you made this a complex, captivating, beautiful piece, that takes you out of reality for a few moments, great job!

*inspiration to take a nice warm bubble bath!:D*
