Lifepoems

Moments best spent
under the sun,
Burry your tired feet
on the fine, white sand.
Let your hair dance
to the wind’s tune,
Take heed of the summer’s
call…
For it will be over soon.
Share a kiss…
Share a hug…
Smile a lot
And giggle some more.
It’s a time to sing…
time to enjoy.
And of course to share
someone else’s shore.
Listen to your soul,
Follow what it says,
Free your spirit,
And melt in somebody’s gaze.
Fall in love,
and soar above,
For broken hearts
will someday mend,
And too soon
Summer’s going to end.

Great Write!!! Brought out the emotions of young summer love very vividly. I'm going to read some more of your work but I just wanted to tell you that you are gifted and to keep it up... Also That my real name is Darnell Brown and I am the author of “City Limits”, a poetry book that I’ve written (go to www.citylimitsthebook.com to check out my site, there’s a place where poets can get their work posted exclusively on their own page and maybe dedicate it to someone) One of the reasons I posted this message is to let you know that I’m starting a magazine called “When The Pen Hits The Pad” and it’s going to be a place where artists, by that I mean more than just poets but writers, scriptwriters, painters, photographers etc. where they can have their work out there for people to see and possibly put them with people who can help them get to where they want to go. If you are interested in being a part of our first issue, send me and email to thewordzwithin@yahoo.com and tell me what you think and what you want to summit Tell all your friends who might be interested and keep up the good work!!!!!!! |
