CASTING OF STONES

Contributed by kydistortion69 on Saturday, 21st May 2005 @ 11:22:08 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

In those days of unholy unions
hordes gathered to praise their glory
gathering in darkness, massed in clans
worshipless and blasphemous of voidless time;

Then came a voice and the light of life's fire
chasing back the deviants to their shadows
filling their rites with endless shame
and binding their sins til the end of time;

Back in the darkness they fled in fear
bitter and angry for the end of their reign
raging with hatred from that which was taken
cowering with vengence to regain and shine;

Waiting and watching in the shadow's dark
hoping that their time shall release them
raging at the One who bound them to chain
vowing a war to win back their perverse shrine;

Now these demons and unholy nameless beings
seep in the soil and poison the light
reeking a curse from the One they blame
buying their time and beginning their design;

A fortold war of the world raging within
breeding the evil and twisting the plan
to regain the void and rebuild the lies
patiently awaiting, lusting for all that is good to die.

Amen this was awesome and powerful I
could totally see the book of Revelations in
this. I thought the title didn't really fit with the
poem, but that is just my opinion. I liked all of
this because it gives me hope that everything
will turn out right in the end. Thanks for
sharing this.
