Not black Or White, but Grey

I feel like I'm stuck
between happiness and grief
and if I could just take hold of one
it would be such a relief
I'm at a place in my life
where I'm not actually living
I'm holding back or holding out
I'm not wanting, I'm not giving
there's no something to want
and no someone to need
I can finally be selfish
instead I take heed
And my body won't budge
from this melancholic rut
my mind doesn't want it to
and neither does my gut
So what do I do?
Do I live my life in this way?
Where I'm not really living,
and my whole world is grey?
