Self Struggle

Topic: selfstruggles

Not one of my best writes and I have to say I have know fear that will ever stop me from doing my job or protecting me and my comrades. Take care and I hope this write is okay its not written the best but hay its my mind and that’s a mess right now….Steve

I hold my head high and fight my fight
But deep inside I want to hide
For fear is life and fear is in me
For deep inside pain is all I see
For I need my fear to stay alive
And my fear and guts will co inside
Guts to know when its time to fight
And fear to know when its time to hide
As death bears down I grit my teeth
And feel this pain raise up in me
As I fight my fight to stay alive
And fight to try and take their lives
For its me or them but one must go
As I lock and load my pain does show
My pain and fear as I take their life
For what will God say when its my turn to die
Will He open His gates and let me in
Or let me burn for all my sins
But I fight for lives to set them free
But is this life what God wants to see
Tears of pain and tears of grief
That run so fare and cut so deep
I look to heaven with these tears in my eyes
These tears in my eyes that will never dry
But when is my time and when will I die
For I believe that peace is death
and in peace I breath
So Lord come and take this pain from me

Oh Steve, I think you're very, very wrong...I think this is a very good write from you, if not indeed the best. This poem is chilling; deeply haunting I must admit. It's so chalk full of emotion and angst...I commend you for what you are doing, and I commend you for writing such a truthful, and inspirational poem....
Take Care, Scorp.

Steve u r wrong this is the best one of the lot that I have read. It speaks of truth, pain fear and honesty. With each and every write u produce you come up with remarkable forms of poetry. Indeed a heartfelt write expressed so deep and from the heart. You are keeping us safe from the terror that reigns in this world. May God keep u and ur fellow comrades safe and may he protect u and lead u safely home. True talent shining remarkably from amidst ur work. You the the amazing ability to express what u feel deep within ur heart. Talent at its best. My thoughts and prayers are with u always my dear friend, Steve. God bless u and keep u safe always and forever.
love,
~sue~
