Life is but for just a few short days.
Man tries to fill them up in many ways.
Your life’s counter is unwinding, your sense of longevity is slowly unbinding.
Can you feel your youth begin to slip away, and you start to feel the effects of decay?
Where did those once rays of golden sun go, now everyday you must battle death that is an unseen foe.
Through the years you have tried to travel many roads. Wandering through many trails, staying at many abodes.
It always seems like your missing something, and that the road you are traveling seems like it leads to nothing.
You’ve traveled the broad road, and on your back you have been carrying a heavy load.
Another road you have passed many a times, it is very narrow and it is covered with thick vines.
You say to yourself that the way is impossible, and that the end would be unreachable.
Yet you read the sign and it says that if you are teachable, then narrow road’s end is surely reachable.
For many a days, many a nights have you ignored this path, until one day your days have neared the end, and you begin to feel a certain One’s wrath.
How did you spend your life you are asked, you answer and say I did nothing I lived my life behind a gray mask. You shake and feel feeble, because you know you have fallen short of accomplishing a hidden task.
You scream and yell saying life is not fair, but you never once ventured on the narrow road, yet of it you were still aware.
The master tells you that your heart loved the roads of pleasure, and looking back you see that your life had no hidden treasure. Reaching into the depths of your soul, the Master found no love, no compassion, and nothing good that he could measure.
In your days of youth you took pride that you could swim against any water’s tide. In no one did you place your trust, in love you did not abide.
So here is your end thou wicked soul, that you are cast into the deep dark hole. All of eternity will you be tormented there, and no light will your eyes every see, not even the sunshine rays.
Your life will pass there, but it will be forever longer then for just a few short days.
