THIS CALAMITY

Contributed by kydistortion69 on Friday, 20th May 2005 @ 08:16:50 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Time again I close my eyes to sleep,
only to see the monsters standing before me.
Creatures of cruel pleasures and treats,
hoping only for me to fall before I flee.
Time again I open my eyes thinking I'm free,
and still these creatures glare back at me.
Frozen and silent I watch and wait to see,
praying for mercy that these demons let me be.
There was a time once that I had peace,
but that time has past, no longer there for me.
There was a time once when I had the strenght,
to close my eyes and rest with such ease.
Now frightened I wonder what happened to the strenght,
and when it left me was that when I lost my peace.
Another time has come to me, now I plea,
For the creatures have returned to torment me.
So here I remain forever haunted by dreams,
not fairytale images of things of glee.
Instead this horror show of demonic intrigue,
and soon they will win in this nightmarish spree.
Then good-bye to the hopes for a time of pleasant dreams,
for now all that is left is my timeless calamity.

Wow what an imagination..
Dreams bring hope
Dreams bring pain
They predict things soon to come
They can also make your realize you life has been lived in vain..
I like it... Keep writing
