Justify

Topic: anguished

Every moment that passes
the blink of an eye
now another moment passed us
just flew right by

if you gave me more time
to justify my thoughts
to make you see
but now I'm lost

but you tell me
how you will justify your actions
cause now i see
how its gonna be

around my neck
you tie the noose
just give me a minute
let me justify my views

don't let me drop
don't let me die
but before i knew it
the moment flew by

now the darkness surrounds me
i see no light
darkness all around me
another night

if i saw the light
could i make things right?
but im lost in all the darkness
i see no light

but you tell me
how you will justify your actions
cause now i see
how its gonna be

around my neck
you tie the noose
just give me a minute
let me justify my views

don't let me drop
don't let me die
but before i knew it
the moment flew by

not you tell me
was it worth the pain?
all those words you said
where they all in vain?

you execute me for the way i think
how can you justify the way you think?
if you gave me more time
i could have made you see
but the times gone by now cant you see?
all your doin' is waisin' all your time on me!

every moment that passes
the blink of an eye
now another moment passed us
just flew right by
now the darkness surrounds me
i see no light
darkness all around me
another night

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
