Dear big brother Ben; when will you learn?
Here's another summer gone by, wondering when you'll return
You got caught up in the darkside yet again;
and now you're sitting in a 4 by 6 pen...
I don't mean to ream you out; but I can't ignore
you've given us (yet again) ANOTHER encore
Paralyzed by fear, I want to run from the pain
Why is it you do this? What is it you gain??
Please Ben, I beg you, please stop, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH
Just come to us for support; we can be your crutch
Panicking that one day I'll hear 'shots fired'
Dreading a call that tells me my brothers expired
My brother, I don't know what else to say; I just hope you'll listen
as I sit here and write this plea my eyes start to glisten
We all want to see you make a change before it's too late;
and now for your reply I'll anxiously await....
Love ya Big Ben...xo

I hope he can straighten his life up this time. It is all up to him, but it doesn't stop us from the pain we feel inside ourselves or for him.
Strength, sweety,

Heartfelt write. It's like that saying - "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result." (Something I should tell myself, I guess.) hope he sees the light. Good job on the poem. J. |

Scorp, it takes a lot to share something like this with all of us. Of cousre it will provoke our own thoughts of similar situations that maybe someday I will share with you but right now none of that. Just want to thank you for the emotionally powerful write & thank you for sharing. Hope that he is the number one fan of this poem. |
