Another one of myself
Is growing silently inside me,
Breathes in my breath
And talks secretly
But revolts from its seven doored dark existence
whenever it wants.
When the creator pours the life
In a human soul,
The eternal light appears.
The baby was deprived from the light,
And mothers milk and caress.
Begins to play its own part
As soon as it comes out in world’s stage,
Knows the rule of nature
In which state to appear.
In such state was it slept
With mothers breath.
Man-shaped hyena came
And attacked abruptly.
The innocent bangalees, leaving the bed
Went on to the war field
Self declared.
They take up their right
Which they were deprived of
A wave of spirit ran through the blood
Of the old, youth and mob.
Nine months they fought non-stop
And brought the liberty bravely
For the next generation
After blood shed greatly.
Listen, my on-coming friends,
Hold this precious liberty
With mighty hands.
Never forget-
We had to lose much for the liberty to get.
Still now, many mothers wail out-
“won’t my son come back.”
Yet now many wives try to cover their grey hair
Forgetting their changed physic
With unknown desire.
They adorn themselves
With lovely flowers.
Being overwhelmed they think
“won’t my love come back!”
Still now, many sisters being unmindful,
Make cakes and preserve on shelf
Thinking her brother would come back
The lovers wreath garlands of jasmine
And spread the carpet of autumn flowers
In hope of her lovers.
Thus hundreds of thoughts arise
And confuse our emotions
To never forget this freedom.
We are human and have our existence
And our culture.
Uphold them and show the world
How the traditions are!
