When you remember all the times
As a child you used to smile,
All the times when others helped you,
To go the extra mile,
Don’t you remember the faces
That helped you along the way,
To open up new doors for you,
Help you start a brand new day?
When you remember happiness
That used to make you want to fly,
All the times when you floated up
Close enough to touch the sky,
Do you remember the chances
That got you where you are,
The choices and decisions
That got you here thus far?
Do you remember growing up,
Or even growing old,
Do you remember the memories,
The stories you were told?
Then you’ve been blessed,
Received the best bit of luck,
The memories you’ve gained
Become your own fairydust.
Fairydust to sprinkle
When you want to fly,
Remember your best times,
Reach up and touch the sky.

really uplifting, to write a poem that sums up to a honest and worth learning piece of advice truly defines the term "inspirational poem" |

Hi there ginsdance,
I`ve logged on just to read some of your work. This is the first poem of yours I`ve read so far. It`s GREAT! Can`t wait to read some more.
You write with such maturity for a 17 year old, (I know, I shouldn`t stereotype but this impresses me).
Your writing stirs memories in me. This poem of yours flows beautifully, effortlessly and gently.
I`ve always had a fondness for anything pertaining to the faeries.
Very good work Jennifer. Very good first impression, (the bar`s been set pretty high with this one). Thumb |
