Tragedy

Contributed by Jaycee on Thursday, 19th May 2005 @ 08:34:04 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

The vision so real
the death of his wife
having broken that rule
would cost her her life

He could not let it happen
he'd been there before
he'd solemnly vowed
that it would happen no more

The worlds were at war
tragedy every day
but now they were together
so he'd find a way

She was all that mattered
she brought him such pleasure
the council be damned
she was his treasure

His heart torn apart
by rage that was heightened
and protecting his woman
had him so frightened

These were the first steps
to an evil descent
was all of his training
just poorly misspent

Orders were given
forcing him to betray
both his superiors and friends
was there no other way

The evil unmasked
of that there's no doubt
so removing himself
he ratted him out

But the words they did taunt him
because save her they could
he'd intervene on his behalf
he knew that he would

The challenge was issued
between the evil and good
would he side with bad
or with right as he should

The choices were clear
and the decision was made
he'd save the woman he loved
leaving a debt to be paid

Slaughtering the innocent
and spilling their blood
the gates to evil were open
and commenced the flood

She followed his tragedy
and found him at last
but she had been duped
by a friend from the past

He was not at all happy
at this inappropriate joke
so tender hands embraced
the form of a choke

Life fled from her body
her soul already dead
she wanted her lover
got the murderer instead

Friends dualled to death
and only one could remain
the young one was cocky
in heat he was slain

But that was not the end
for the other was swift
the damage was extensive
the repairs so makeshift

His soul was so tortured
reigning with unholy terror
the only hope being
it couldn't last forever

finis

Must be the movie "Star Wars". I don't watch movies so won't ruin it for me. This is a great write, whatever movie it is from. It moved along well to be so long. I didn't get bored with it at all. Keep up the great work.
