A Love Lost

Contributed by lonelystar1180 on Thursday, 19th May 2005 @ 08:09:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

When I sit by the window
I see a rose on the pavement
But the only thing is missing
Is you by my side

When I think of the better day
They seem a very long way
For me to reach that happiness
I once knew

Since the day you’ve been gone
My days seem so cloudy
But now I find myself crying coz
I’ve been missing you

With every picture I look
I see you and me happy as can be
But today the smile that I used to have
Is now gone and now where that cannot be seen
Its coz of you my days use to be brighter

Now I have to sit and wait for this pain
To go away so I can be healed again
For now I seem so lost without you
To see a happy couple walk by
Makes me think on how I can
Be happy once again

I want to try to forget
But your presence seem to linger
And I cannot see the light
The light that will be my happiness
I can think of the good time
But that will cause me more pain

The distance won’t count as
Long as that is worth you seeing me
Tears may run but those tears
Are for the person that
Means so much in my life
And I guess I lost a piece of my heart
You will always be in my heart forever
So I guess this is a goodbye song just for you
My once sweet teddy bear
Always remember me the person who
Loves you so much

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
