You always give
Your golden best
With shoes untied
Hair all messed
You never care
About who sees
You always do
What you please
What you want
You go out and get
Work for it all
Until you're set
It makes you happy
That makes me smile
Looking at you
Golden with style
What others think
You say "who cares?
I have mine
They'll get theirs"
"You're right" I say
"Theirs might be less
Because they never give
Their golden best
If you have to
You must hold
Onto the smiles
The smiles of gold
WIth that smile
Don't care about the rest
Life will give you
It's golden best
