Keep these memories from me
Take them away I plead
I cannot live with my mistakes
I cannot wait till my heart breaks
Blood drips from the knife of regret
Supplicate do I for me to forget
Giving up and giving in
Can’t stand this dread within
Im missing you more every day
Remembering how you slipped away
I held onto you but I guess not tight enough
I tried to let go but now I give up
You didn’t deserve to die like you did
You shouldn’t have had to go through all that *****
And with your precious life taken from you
Keeping your memory alive in me is all I can do
No matter how painful or remorseful or sober
Your memory persevered since the twelfth of October

This is such an emotional one! Wow, you have some talent! I'm so sorry that you lost someone, though, that's really tough! Hang on, it can only get better!!! But good job on using your talent to cope with the hard times, that's one of the best things anyone could do... |

Jennie: I don't know the details surrounding what happened to her (I'm not asking, just don't have the contextual reference) but I can see how this still painfully haunts you. Unless I am severely mistaken, I know that you can't be responsible for what happened. Your poem suggests some regret and guilt for what happened, or how you reacted, but this hardly seems something of your manufacture. I know she didn't deserve what happened to her, and neither did you. I hate it when you suffer, like I'm not doing enough to help. It is good to remember her for the good person she was, and it is healthy to grieve her, but please do not let it control you. You need to live your life for you. I think she would want that for you.
Your friend
Jaycee
