Please Disregard This Letter

Dear everyone I've ever hurt,
I apologize.
Maybe I'm days or years too late,
But please realize,
I'm trying anyway.
Dear relatives I never met,
Because of rifts in our family,
I'm sorry that I ever let,
Myself become a part of these.
So many people in my life I have past by,
Who could've been what I was searching for,
But my efforts were weak, there is no reason why,
Only a hope that I won't do that anymore.
Dear Sarah from the fifth grade,
I'm sorry for everything I ever said.
Behind your back or to your face,
There is no excuse my for painful ways to get ahead.
I have learned that life is not a race,
And I regret my hateful days.
Dear those I loved inside, but not aloud,
How foolish I was, am, and probably will be,
For keeping all of my love locked up inside of me.
A simple few words if my actions didn't show,
Would have helped, maybe...I don't know,
So please just disregard this letter,
My intentions are wrong and worthy of a "sorry" too,
I only wrote it to make myself feel better,
I wasn't really thinking of you.
