Can't I just cry?

Contributed by midnightwriter on Tuesday, 17th May 2005 @ 09:53:56 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Can’t I just cry, can’t I just sit here and try?

Do I have to keep it all in, all this grief and sin?

Why do I have to let it harden inside my soul, why can’t I just pour it all out in a bowl?

Why do I always have to pretend it doesn’t hurt, can’t I just sob and blurt it out.

I thought people care about people, but everyone abandons me when I’m most feeble.

This midnight writer was once whole, but the evils in life have taken their toll.

Can’t I just cry and lay my head on a caring friends shoulder, why is it they always offer me a boulder.

Why should I cry? No one can see, not one person cares about my misery.

I’m internally drowning in my tears; I guess I have to just keep on hiding my deepest fears.

Hope you all don’t get concerned, you won’t hear about my suicide confirmed.

I’ll just try to cry myself to sleep tonight, and try to keep up with life’s fight.

So pray for me tonight as I’m trying to find sleep here in the middle of the night.

Maybe as your praying and asking the good Lord my soul to keep, that you’ll remember me in your prayers and ask God to help me cry myself to sleep.

Very powerful, and well put.... By all mean cry sweetheart when you need a release or just to vent.... and if ever you need a shoulder to cry upon I'm here. I know that we don't know one another but if ever you just need an ear or a shoulder I'm here.

Everybody has his/her bad day only others feel it more intense and heartbraking. It's in humans "source code" to suffer and to rely on others in times of ill like this.I know it's kinda late for support but here no one's hated and if u want u'll get all the comfort u need. You just have to ask.
