The Night I Fell In Love with Him

We sat there together
in the dark.
As I hesitantly touched your arm,
butterflies rushed through my stomach.
I told you how soft your sweater was
as an excuse
for my touch.
Thousands of thoughts ran through my head
and when you asked
"what are you thinking about?"
I just whispered softly
"you..."
We sat there in the silence,
warming each other
with our bodies.
I only closed my eyes for a second...
and thats when you cut me open
and gently you ripped out my heart.
It hurt..
but I didn't say anything.
I just watched you.
Watched as you pulled it out of me
and put it in your pocket.
and at that moment
I was breathless.
I didnt know what to say to you.
I could only sit there.
Speechless.
You had my heart in your pocket.
And you never even gave it back.
Now I sit here
bleeding.
because you stole my heart.

This is incredible your words so captivating and touching I feel your pain your emotions so loud and clear. You have managed to put a sad and devasting poem into such beautiful and heart felt words
