Lone pale woman, dejected and forelorn
Waiting to bear her child into the storm
Air charged with energy, it's heavy and damp
Her massive belly begins to heave and cramp
Body's wracked with agony, every nerve on fire
Overcome with pain, she soon begins to tire
Thunder cracks - it's an ominous sign
Hard cold fear trickles down her spine
Her tired steps begin to falter and weave
Her massive belly gives another painful heave
Lightning strikes all around
She collapses bonelessly to the ground
Her swollen body starts to shudder
Through gritted teeth a prayer is uttered
Wondering if she'll make it through this night
Her essence is filled with a dreadful fright
The birth of this child can't be denied
For Heaven and Earth are destined to collide
With strength unknown, she straightens her back
Inner courage, she does not lack
With one final push, she strains with all her might
Fate will not be denied this night
Into the eye of a terrible storm
Kicking and wailing, her child is borne.

I hear so many comments from people representing their fear of bringing their child up in such a seemingly corrupt and vicious place as our Earth. Using the fear instilled by a strong storm to represent this is really a stroke of brilliance. Another one showing undeniable prowess. |
