As my senses started to return, I could hear a faint dripping of water
My hair now greasy, was hanging in front of my face
The heartbreaking sound of weeping was heard far away
I had soon realized that weeping was my own handmaiden, Estrilda
Estrilda, what was my handmaiden doing in this place,
Yet…I had to find out where we were
And also where was Sterling?
I could tell it was daylight, from the little sliver of sun
That was peeking through the tiny, wooden window
But the daylight seemed to bloom with darkness
The only place where I’ve heard of this,
From frightful stories told to me as a child
Aulea, the realm of our corrupted rivals, The Ashcroft’s
By the beat placing of the gray stones in wall,
We were all in the haunting dungeon of Castle Ashcroft
This castle, I’ve heard was located in the Shadowbane Mountains
Those mountains have treacherous peaks with jutting cliffs
My despair was broken by a penetrating scream
The scream was masculine in nature and it
Pierced my heart like a knife through my back
Then the scream had faded into the walls of the prison
At last after a few moments, I had tried to move
Something was stopping me from moving away
My arms had been bare, but bright blood was dripping from my wrists
Tight, thick ropes were tied over my wrists and ankles
Preventing me from walking or making a slight movement
A cloaked figure walked past my cell
The person was holding a single wax candle
Carved in the shape of their demon god, Albreeda
Through the darkness of the persons hood
Their eyes flamed like fiery orbs of sun
And then faded into the shelter of its hood

The King Of Aulea had no wife,
For that he was very stern and cold
He had no desire for mercy
His name was Reyner, the last son of Andrast
Reyner dealt in the field of humiliating his enemies
Until their spirits are broken
That is what he had planned for me,
Also Sterling as well
If it weren’t for Sterling, I would have never survived what was to come
