Watching her now
So new to this world
Little sister, eight months old
Beautiful baby girl.
As she smiles at me,
Her innocence shines
Brightening her little face
And her big blue eyes.
Her life so free of worry
Her smile free of care
Her tears quickly subsided
Her laughter often shared.
Innocent in every way
Pure from head to toe
Bringing sunshine to my day
With everything else gone wrong
No one can know
The joy that she brings
No one can imagine
How her heart heart sings
I can only hope now
That it will last long
That she'll grow through the years
Innocent, but strong

This poem is really nice. The way you describe your little sister is really beautiful. The rhyme scheme needs a little work, but for the most part it seems to work..good job, keep it up
