Would You Rather?

I would rather soar too high and fall,
Than fly too low to spread my wings.
If I don’t try for the sun,
What’s the point of having flight?
Even if I fall, I’ll be remembered for trying.
I would rather die fighting for a cause,
A cause I believe in, something to help people,
Than sit back, safe on the sidelines,
To watch others change the world.
I would rather love once, a true love,
And lose my soulmate forever,
Than be free of that pain and never find them.
Pain is meant to be endured
And what doesn’t kill you…
Only postpones the inevitable.
Come what may, and hell to pay,
The point is to have fun.

Life is meant to be lived, not watched. Might as well live big. It is up to us to bring joy and laughter and love in our life. Or we can sit on our duffs and cry and be miserabe. I too prefer to fly to high, than never leave the ground.
