In my past my dreams are shattered
No one cares and nothing matters
Mama's gone and Daddy's wasted
Bitter tears can still be tasted
Little girl cries in her room
And prays that she'll be rescued soon
"God, are you there? Can you hear me?
Take me from here. Come and save me."
Then she hears a sound at her door
Is this so soon what she prayed for?
Turns around to look behind her
Daddy's standing right beside her
Bottle drunken, hair that's messy
Grabs her, pulls her up just so she
Plays another game kept secret
These times she her weakness regrets
