The leaves are falling,
The sun is setting,
The tree stands firm and eternal.
To the ground we go,
To the world we come,
Our Mother, Our Father,
We are now separated.
We make our life,
We build our home,
The Circle of Life continues
As the New Year dawns
And the sun rises.
Your imprint and your wisdom have been
Engraved on our soul.
We shall never forget what has transpired here.
This is not the end.
New children will come,
New lives will be made,
Formed and perfected by your never-ending light.
Remember us now as we embark
On the next stage of our Journey.
Never forget the joyous times we shared together.
Cherish the memories; keep them close to your heart.
Let them brighten your day when you are feeling down.
Know that you have been loved.

I was so lucky growing up. I lived in a small community and we had brilliant teachers. I was encouraged all my life through school to challenge myself. Even at my age (dinosaur) I can still remember every teacher I had and even some of the weirdo profs in college. Teachers are beyond human, they are angels and heroes in my eyes. I would never have achieved in life what I did without them.
