Love Sonnet I

Sober melancholy and days of ashen,
Unknowingly endured for many years.
May’s warmth comforted feelings of passion,
Drying to a drought the doubt and fears.
Lost purity regained and given newly,
Satisfying my open, tender mind.
Secure in vulnerability, truly
Infatuated, in love, entwined.
The warmth of your strong hand upon my skin
Your breath caressing my neck, dulcet, sweet,
Cause tremors of aching pleasure within.
To you I freely give my love complete.
My heart beats only for you, impulsive,
Life without you would not be life to live.
