On the Edge

Contributed by ilovecasey on Monday, 16th May 2005 @ 02:44:08 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I cant breathe
im slipping away
I cant take it
not for another day

when i get home
I take a knife
and slit my wrists
to end my life

as I lay there
I do not feel
this seems like a dream
it doesnt seem real

the doctors voice
sounds loud and faint
he says Im gonna live
but I know I aint

my mom comes in
and sits in a chair
my dad follows
but doesnt seem to care

is this real
or is it in my head?
I slit my wrists
shouldnt I be dead?

my mom asked me
why I did this
I guess I did it
b/c i was *****

the next day at school
I realized what I had
I had friends that cared
my life isnt so bad

they asked me
what happened to my wrists
I told them my story
and how I was *****.
