In the storm
Stands the one yellow rose
Alone, but most lovely
Tumultuous waves of destruction abound her
Yet tall is the yellow rose
She is not so strong in the face
She senses the doom around her
And she does not bow down
Pure is the yellow rose
In the most rugged earth
Growing in eternal strength
In the sunset, gleams endless hurt
In the distance I see the yellow rose
She is so far away
But I long to stroke her most lovely petals
But I can’t make it to her
So I send her my verse
And in my poetic heart
To protect her in every way
There is hope to see her through
Be Strong little flower
My heart will guide you
And as long as I am here
I will make sure you never turn blue

A yellow rose is one of the most beautiful of flowers. The poem is kinda wistful. Your lines tell it all: " in the distance I see the yellow rose
She is so far away
But I long to stroke her most lovely petals
But I can’t make it to her"
