Your voice slid smooth
down my throat
settled in my heart
and spread through my limbs..
like the glow of a brilliant sun
as I breathed you in.
I could feel you
as surely as I felt
my own heartbeat.
You drew me closer
almost against my will
now... you hover
in the back of my mind
sneaking into my thoughts
without warning...
the warmth that once soothed my body
has been left behind
as I sit here wishing-
for one day
one more sunset with you.

| you had a very unique write. a lot of this ive never seen used in a poem before, which is growing more uncommon with every poem i read. not only can you intrigue, you can show there is good reason to stay intrigued till the last line. |

Ohmigod! How utterly BEAUTIFUL!!!! I am so very
impressed every time I visit your pages Billy. And
never am I disappointed. You have to know this was
exceptional. God, how bloody heartfelt and torturous.
So sad and yet so touchingly endearing at once.
Only a few have I witnessed to have this grace, my
dear Billy. A very few.
