Anger of the Moment

Anger floats up into the ceiling
Trapped in some pocket of unhappy
Circumstance beyond your control
Eating your guts while you wait
Another hour, another day
Sweating indecision
Longing for peace
Having long forgotten the feel of it
A quiet moment exaggerated
Sets your heart against you
Angels watch over you
Wings fluttering against your cheek
Trying to wake you
But you will not listen
Burned beyond recognition
Will you always be so far away?

I love the imagery!
You make anger a tangible thing!
Well done! |
