My dear friend. Tonight you sat, only feet away.
So close to him, but I was a world away
I looked across at the two of you, so happy,
Tears welling up in my eyes, a cup about to overflow, stop them.
You may have him, but I’m too strong to hand you my pride.
I’ve seen it before, but tonight something hit me, and at that moment
I would have rather been anywhere else but there.
I look at your fork on the table and wish it would have made its way over
to my eyeballs and gauged them out before I could have seen you grab his hand,
It’s not okay anymore. You son of a---bits of my glass heart fall to the floor.
I’m wishing they would slash both of your happy hollow hearts, and
give you a taste of this haunting feeling that I’ve felt for so long now,
and while the poisonous tears finally flow down my cheeks,
I’d like to take a moment to thank you, my insensitive friend,
for giving me this feeling that no one has given me ever before.
Such a strong pain that I would never even wish upon my worst enemy
That is, unless my worst enemy...was...well, unless my worst enemy was you.
