To love the one you are promised to
or to the one whose heart calls to you
Is a dilema faced by many mortals
In which there exsist no escape portals
For one is like a bird in a cage
built out of love, love, not rage
One's wings and heart longs for the air
But one fears to break the bras of care,
Of promises and lovers token
and whisper of love, so fondly spoken
For what is the garuntee, as you speak the words of matrimony
To find, locked in someone elses eyes, the key
the key to your soul, your mind, your heart
Is found in someone who is forced apart
for as the bounds of binding close
and one assumes the prisoners pose
One thinks "to cause such sorrow to my jailer so true
Who do not know they have locked up you
Locked up your heart against true love
so you sit like a broken winged dove
would be so cruel, so harsh so mean
It would be better to stay and bask in love so lean
For I like them, she is funny and kind
And perhaps a dimond of love can be found in this matrimony mine
You will stay you decide
put the key and such foolishness behind
yet as you glance at the one you truly love
you feel once more like a wingless dove
For the decision of the mind, so truely made
the heart is not bound by; when is rests in loves glade
For the game of love is ment for two
Not one or many or a few
when you introduce more you must choose
and too often, one who is dear must lose.
Which is stronger and which will win
the warmth of love, or logics pin?
