Unbroken cycles of the heart and mind.

Contributed by Mortis-Dark on Saturday, 14th May 2005 @ 02:31:31 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Im lost for my words cannot find you.
Every silent word that slithers out fails.
The bells ring with contempt.
The sunset aura heating the naked Jasemine.
Lying on the creek banks with no thoughts to mind.
Laying here captivated.
Wishing you were mine.

You said you were mine.
But your not.
Its too simple for a second thought.
Thinking things through and through.
Waiting and waiting never to catch up to you.

What is this game you play.
This game that makes me feel as though my only absecence being is death.
But near death is the only feeling left to feel.
You cast me out without cutting a deal.
Ignore me maybe.
Hate me you must.
When my eyes only seen you.
Yours saw my red lust.

Over and over this cycle repeats.
Over and over this broken drum beats.
Pounding my head with each prolonged beat.
Someday maybe someday.
I will rise up to my feet.
The last words of a dying man.
With his last wish in the palm of his hand.

The last verse in your poem is strong and really brings it together. When the poem is read out loud it flows well. Thanks for sharing.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
